    They almost called me Daniel, but that was what my mother wanted, she already named my brother, so it was my father's turn

  2. First, my parents were going to call me Carolina or Malena. My father wanted Malena and my mother, Carolina but they didn´t decide so they they finally called me Patricia, like my mother. My name comes from the latin and it means: "the one who is patrician or noble"

    Why are you called Laura?
    Because my parents always liked the name Laura and decided to give it to me.
    The names they had in mind were Laura, Emma or Irene.
    And my brother chose Laura.
    My name comes from Latin and means "laurel".
    In Greco-Roman times, it was used as crowns that were given to prominent people as a symbol of triumph and victory.

    My parents had very clear since the beginning my name, because they liked the name and it´s the patron saint of Cáceres. They hadn´t any other name in mind to put me.
    The name Jorge has a greek origin and means farmer, that is, who works the land.

  5. When my mother knew she was going to be a girl, she told my father to choose between four names: Aroa, Elsa, Elena with out h and Marina. My father decided to Elena but to make it more original he decided to put Helena with h.
    Helena's name comes from the Greek language, derived from Helene and means bright torch.

    Yes, I do.
    On the first hand, my mother had a huge list of different names such as: Candela, Vera , Malena... and on the other, my father wanted to call me Andrea like my grandma.
    Finally, my mother chose Irene and my father was okay with it.
    My name comes from the greek and means "peace".

    My parents thought of Manuel as a name for me, because it is a name that didn't exist in the family, so they liked it because it was original.
    My mum liked other names, like Gabriel,Rafael o Miguel.
    My name comes from "inmau el", "immanuel" which is the Grecolatin form of the Hebrew name Manuel.It means "God is with us".

  9. Hi, my name is Lucas, and im called that way because my mother liked it. My name was chosen by my mother because my father chose the most important part of my brother`s name. I prefer my mother`s choice because my father was thinking to call me Aníbal.

    When I was born my parents wanted to call me Miguel because that was the name of a brother of my mother who had died when he was a child. Fortunately, my grandmother said thad she didn't like that idea, she thought that was very sad. Finally my parents decided to call me Daniel, because no one in my family had this name and they liked it.
    My name, Daniel, has a Hebrew origin and it means "God is my judge" or has "Justice of God"

  13. When my parents knew that I was going to be a girl they made a list of names from which they discarded until they were left with Nuria, Lucia and Miriam, finally they chose Lucia as my great-grandmother was also called that way.
    Lucia is a name of latin origin that means light or the one who was born with the first light of the day.

    Since the beginning my parents wanted a name related to nature and when they knew that I would be a girl they thought about call me Rocío, Alba, Rosa or Marina but my brother finally chose Marina.
    The origin of my name is Latin and comes from the word marinus, it means born in the sea.

    My parents decided call me Roberto because, when my mother was younguer she heard the name of Roberto and she loved, so when I was born my parents called me Roberto. The name of Roberto comes from german and it means ``fame or brilliant´´.

    My parents didn't decide what name they were going to give me. They both had a lot of names in mind, so they decided that my father was going to give me a name first, and then my mother to my sister.
    Finally, my father decided to call me Paula because it was the name he liked the most.

  26. When my parents knew that i was going to be a boy they started discussing about what name I should have, first they were between Héctor and Mario, but my brother told them that I should be called David and my parents liked it.

    My parents were hesitating between Lola and Candela, thankfully, they chose Candela. I have a middle name because my dad thought that two is always better than one. I´m begging you, please don´t call me Candela María.

    What my parents did to choose my name was to make a list with each of the names they liked the most, and they chose three names: Andrés, Pablo or Diego.
    Then they asked the rest of the family and decided that the best name was Pablo.

    My parents call me Daniel becouse they like it very much but there were other options like Gabriel, Alberto and Alejandro but they chose Daniel becouse it have short name.

  31. Well, My parents thought about calling me Javier, Pablo or Sergio but in the end they decided to call me Javier because they liked it more. The name Javier comes from the Catholic religion which has its origin in the Catholic saint Francisco de Javier, the name of this character derives from his birthplace, the Castle of Javier, in Navarra and the name of this place derives from the Vasco.

  32. Hello, I´m going to talk about why my parents chose my name. My parents didn´t decided to call me becouse they liked the names :Avaro, Angel and Alejandro but finally they decided to call me Alvaro because they like it the most and my mother wanted a common name wchich never could be forgotten.
    Alvaro comes from germanic formed by the words all and war wich means very wise or very cautius
    The name Alvaro means a lot to me and I´ m proud every time

  36. Hi, my parents were going to call me Alejandro at first, but in the end they called me Octavio because it is an original name and because my grandfather was called like that.My name is roman, my name is of Latin origin which means ´´octavo``
