TUESDAY, MARCH 31ST. COOKING TIME

Our teacher in training Antonio Rocha has created an activity for today's lesson. Are you ready?
Hello everyone!  As you know, we all have to stay at home these days, but we can take advantage of this situation. I think it’s the perfect time to do our best and show off with our special dishes.  We are all going to share one dish with the rest of the class, therefore, let your imagination flow and try to catch your classmates’ attention! You have to follow these instructions:
-You have to post your comments in alphabetical order; therefore, the first one on the list will be the first one to share her special dish.
When the first comment is posted, the second student on the list will do the same. S/he will have to give his or her opinion about the first student’s dish and describe his or her own dish afterwards.
- You have to describe your special dish in detail. We all want to taste it!

  1. RECIPE: pancakes

    Ingredients:

    200g of flour

    1 and a half tea spoon of salt

    3 tea spoons of leavening

    1 spoon os sugar

    1 spoon of oil

    2 eggs



    METHOD:

    1.- You have to mix the flour, the salt, the leavening and the sugar.
    2.- In another plate, you have to mix the eggs, the oil and the milk
    3.- You have to mix everything together
    4.- This is the last step. You have to pour the dough into the pan.

  2. These pancake are delicious, I love them!

    SIMPLE WHITE CAKE

    Ingredients:
    - 1 cup of white sugar
    - 1/2 cap of butter
    - 2 eggs
    - 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
    - 1 and 1/2 cups of flour
    - 2 teaspons of baking powder
    - 1/2 cup of milk

    Directions:

    - Preheat oven to 175 degrees. Grease and flour a mold.
    - In a medium bowl, cream together the sugar and butter. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then stir in the vanilla. Combine flour and baking powder, add to the creamed mixture and mix well. Finally stir in the milk until batter is smooth. Pour or spoon batter into the prepared mold.
    - Bake for 30 to 40 minutes in the preheated oven and the cake is done!!!

    SPONGE CAKE WITH CHOCOLATE CHIPS.
    Ingredients:
    - 3 eggs.
    - 95 grams of sunflower oil.
    - 150 grams of sugar.
    - 1 teaspoon of vanilla essence.
    - 220 grams of flour.
    - 1/2 an packet of yeast.
    - A handful of chocolate chips (to your liking)
    - Oil and flour to grease the mould.

    Development:
    1.- Preheat oven to 180º.
    2.- Add sugar and eggs to the beater and program 2 minutes, 37º, speed 3. In the case you don't have a beater, just add this ingredients to a big bowl and mix them.
    3.- Add oil and vanilla and beat 30 seconds at speed 3, no temperature.
    4.- Mix the flour with the yeast 10 seconds more or less and finish to mix all together with a spatula.
    5.- Now we add the chocolate chips and distribute them throughout the dough. Pour the dough into a previously oiled mould and sprinkled with flour and bake for about 30 minutes.

  4. Orange cake with chocolate chips:

    Ingredients:
    -3 eggs
    -1 baking powder packet
    -250g of flour
    -a bit of salt
    -130g of liquid whipping cream
    -100g of sugar
    -100g of sunflower oil or butter
    -butter and flour to grease the mould
    -1 juice orange

    Development:
    -Preheat the oven to 180º
    -mix the eggs, the orange
    -add the butter and the whipping cream and mix
    -when you've finished mixing add the salt the chocolate chips, the baking powder and the flour mix it well
    -put it at the mould and get it into the oven like 30 minsand it will be ready to eat.

    I'm looking forward to making Lucías's cake. It must be delicious.

    Recipe: Spanish omelette

    - 5 potatoes

    - 9 eggs, you can also get 7

    - 1 onion (obviously)

    - olive oil

    - Salt and pepper to taste


    Steps to follow:

    First of all you have to beat those nine eggs. Then, chop the potatoes and the onion, the potatoes a bit bigger than the onion.
    We put the olive oil to taste, and after that, we put the onion, then the potatoes.
    We wait three or four minutees stirring. We put the eggs and wait a bit.......
    Last but not least, you put the pepper an the salt, to taste.
    Finally, when one part is golden , you turn it over..... and that's all.

  6. I love Spanish omelette, I'm sure Samuel's omelette is decicious

    My recipe: Muffins with chocolate chips

    Ingredients:
    -150g of butter cut in pieces
    -100g of chocolate cut in pieces
    -2 eggs
    -300g of flour
    -2 teaspoons of yeast (10g)
    -a little salt
    -300g of milk

    Steps to follow:
    First mixe all the ingredients except the chocolate pieces in a glass.
    Then put the chocolate in the glass and mixe it all again.
    The last thing you have to do is to spill the mixture in a muffins tray and put it in the oven for 10 minutes (180°).

  7. HOME-MADE PIZZA (THERMOMIX) by José Manuel Díaz Santurino.

    I think the Muffins are great , I'll try that recipe.

    Ingredients:
    -30 ml of oil.
    - 220 mil of water.
    - 1 spoon of sugar.
    - 20 g. of yeast.
    - 400 g of flour.
    - 1 spoon of salt.

    Steps
    -Put the water, sugar and yeast in the Thermomix and mix 20seg/vel 2.
    -Add flour, oil and salt and set the kneading function 2 minutes.
    - Lightly oil bowl, put the dough into the bowl and cover it with a transparent film and leave it for an hour.
    - Knead it with a rolling pin on the table.
    - Filled it with all the ingredients you want ( ham, tomato, cheese…).
    - Finally put it into the oven at 180º for half an hour.

    And it’s read, Enjoy it!!

    I would like to try that pizza, I'm sure it is delicious.

    INGREDIENTS:

    - 16g of yeast
    - 3 eggs
    - 1 natural yogurt
    - 250g of flour
    - 125g of oil
    - 125g of cocoa powder
    - 250g of sugar

    STEPS:

    1. First of all heat the oven at 180º
    2. Then,mix well all the ingredients in a bowl
    3. Spill the mixture in a mould
    4. Finally, bake the mixture during 35 mins

  9. MARINATED CHICKEN WINGS by Héctor Gómez Hernández 4º ESO A

    Mmmmmmmm, Jorge's cake seems to be delicious!


    INGREDIENTS

    - 8 chicken wings.
    - 2 tablespoons of olive oil.
    - 2 tablespoons of honey.
    - The juice of a lemon.
    - Salt and peper.


    STEPS:

    1. First of all, mix the olive oil, the honey and the lemon juice.
    2. Spread the chicken wings with the mixture and let it rest for a couple of hours.
    3. Finally, we put the chicken wings in the oven at 200 degrees for 25 minutes.

    I'ts done! I hope you like it.

  10. Ohh, I love chicken wings. Hectors dish seems amazing.

    Broken eggs
    INGREDIENTS:
    -Three potatoes
    -One egg
    -Iberian Ham
    -Salt
    -Some oil.

    Steps:
    1. Cut the potatoes.
    2. Fry the egg. Fry or bake the potatoes.
    3. Serve the potatoes before the egg.
    4. Add the iberian ham and the salt to taste.

    Ummmm, broken eggs is one of my favorite food

    Ingredients:
    -2 packets of Maria biscuits
    -100gr of butter
    -400gr liquid cream
    -100gr sugar
    -2 sachet of curd
    -500gr cheese spread

    Steps
    1.-We crush the cookies and mix them with butter
    2.-We form a mass that serves as a base
    3.-We warm the cream
    4.-We add the sugar, the cheese and the curd
    5.-We remove and put it to boil
    6.-We put it in the base and then 6 hours in the fridge

    And it's ready, I hope you like it

  12. LEMON YOGURT CAKE. Pablo Hoyo Saucedo 4ºESO A.

    Ummmm, I love Cheesecake!!!!!

    INGREDIENTS:

    - 1 yogurt with lemon flavour.
    - 3 eggs.
    - Flour (3 measures of the yogurt cup)
    - Sugar (2 measures of the yogurt cup)
    - 1 sachet of baking powder
    - Oil. (1 measure of the yogurt cup)
    - 1 teaspoon of icing sugar.
    - 15 gr. of butter.

    PREPARATION TIME: 10 minutes
    COOKING TIME: 30 minutes

    INSTRUCTIONS:

    1.First of all, we put the eggs and sugar into a bowl and we mix until the mixture is blended.
    2.Then, we add the yogurt and the oil to the mixture and we mix again until we get a homogeneous mixture. Then, we add the baking powder little by little.
    3.Next we spread a baking tin with some butter and we pour the mixture into it.
    4.Last of all, we put the baking tin in the oven, and bake it for 30 minutes at 180 ° C
    5.When the cake is ready, we covered the surface with icing sugar.

    Try some. It`s delicious!!!

    I like so much the lemon yogurt cake
    Ingredients:
    1 liter of cream, 10 tablespoons of sugar, A jug of coffee, a package of royal flan, liquid caramel.

    Instructions:
    1.The cream and 10 tablespoons of sugar are heated.
    2.The coffee jug with the royal flan package is added to the cream.
    3.Pour the mixture into a mold and put it in the fridge until it cools down.
    And that's it.

  14. FRENCH TOAST (torrija). Alberto López Martín 4ºESO A.
    I love custard flan!!!Ummm!

    INGREDIENTS:
    - 1 baguette.
    - 250 ml of milk.
    - 1 egg.
    - 15 grams of cinnamon and sugar.

    INSTRUCTIONS:
    1. The baguette is sliced and wet it in the milk.
    2. Beat the egg, the baguette is wet in the egg and and fry it in a pan with olive oil.
    3. In hot, cinnamon and sugar are added to the French toast.
    And that's all!!

    Ummmmh, French toast (torrija) I love it.

    Ingredients:

    -Mince meat

    -Foie gras

    -Bread

    -Milk

    -Flour

    -Salt and pepper

    -Mushrooms

    -Onion

    -Tomato sauce

    -Olive oil

    Steps:

    1. Season the minced meat with salt and pepper.

    2. Dip the bread crumb in milk and add it to the meat.

    3. Next, make small balls with the meat and roll them in flour before frying them in the pan.

    4. Fry them.

    5. For the sauce you can poach a little onion with mushrooms and add tomato sauce.

    6. Pour the pilotes into the sauce when ready and mix.

    Risotto,(for at least two people)

    Ingredients:

    -A glass of rice.
    -Three and a half glasses of water.
    -Three small tablespoons of salt.
    -Three or four small tablespoons of boletus flour.
    powdered cheese.
    -A little squirt of oil.

    Steps:

    1. Light the fire
    2. Made in a small saucepan a squirt of oil and rice.
    3. Once the rice is wet with the oil, add the water, salt and boletus flour.
    4. When it starts to boil, put it down over medium heat.
    5. Finally, when almost all the water has evaporated turn off the heat and add the powdered cheese.
    6. Serve in a bowl and eat. Careful, it's hot.

    Mmmm I would like to try this Risotto.
    CREPES.
    INGREDIENTS:
    - 125g of flour
    - 2 eggs
    - 250 ml of milk
    - 5g of sugar
    - A sprinkle of salt

    STEPS:
    First you need to mix all the ingredients with a blender.
    Then, little by little, add the mass in a pan
    Finally you will have delicious crepes.

    Wow, the crepes seem to be delicious, I would love to try them!!

    Receipe: Churros

    Ingredients:
    -250 gr of flour
    -250 ml of water
    -1 teaspoon of salt
    -Sunflower oil

    Method:
    1.- We heat up the water mixed with the teaspoon of salt. When it’s boiling, we put it away and we add the flour. We mix it until it’s OK.
    2.- We knead the mixture in the kitchen countertop (without flour), and when it’s ready we put it into the churrera (if you don’t have one you should buy it!)
    3.- After putting the mixture into the churrera, we make the churros and put them on a baking paper.
    4.- In the sunflower oil, never olive oil, we fry the churros at a medium temperature. It would be better if you fry them with a cover of the frying pan because you can get burned with the boiling oil.
    5.- We put them out of the pan, and they would be ready to eat!!

    CHOCOLATE BROWNIE
    -- INGREDIENTS--
    • 1 Yogurt
    • 2 Cups of Sugar
    • 2 1/2 Cups of Flour
    • 1/2 Cup of Cocoa Powder
    • 1/2 Cup of Oil
    • 2 Eggs
    • 2 Teaspoons of Royal Yeast

    • 1: Put all the ingredients in the bucket
    • 2: Put it in the oven between 40 and 50min at 180º
    • That's it! You've made an amazing brownie!! Mmmm!

    OMG GUille!!! I love your dish!!! I will try it!!!


    Now I am going to prepare some chocolate braids

    First of all, you must preheat the oven to 180º

    Ingredients:
    1.- A puff pastry
    2.- An egg
    3.- Chocolate like nocilla or nutela

    Method:
    1.- Divide the hojandre dough into six rectangles.
    2.- Leave an imaginary line in the center and make diagonal strips on both sides.
    3.- Put the chosen chocolate on the line we left earlier in the middle.
    4.- Cross the side strips alternating the sides and thus covering the chocolate.
    5.- Beat the egg and "paint" our braids.
    6.- Bake them until they’re golden brown.

    Those chocolate braids look delicious... I'll prepare them for my family.

    One of my favourite dishes is BLACK RICE.

    INGREDIENTS:
    - 400 g. of rice
    - 350 g.of cuttlefish and its ink
    - 300 g. of squid
    - 200 mL. of white wine
    - 1 clove of garlic
    - 2 leaves of bay
    - 1 onion
    - 1.5 L of fish broth
    - 2 spoons of chopped parsley
    - salt
    - pepper

    STEPS:

    1. Fry the garlic and the bay.
    2. Add the cuttlefish, the squid and their ink.
    3. Chop the onion and fry it in a different pot.
    4. Add the rice and stir it while it is beeing fried.
    5. Pour the wine and a half of the fish broth into the pot. Let it boil for 10 min.
    6. Add the rest of the brouth, the cuttle fish, the squid and their ink.
    7. Add salt and pepper as you like.
    8. Boil it between 10/15 min. until the rice is in just right.

    That's all! I hope you like it!!

    One of my favourite dishes is RAXO, a traditional dish of Galicia.
    Ingredients:
    - 12 steak of pork loin.
    - A bit of olive oil.
    - A clove of garlic.
    - A bit of salt.
    - A sprig of parsley.
    - A bit of sweet pepper and a bit of spicy pepper.
    - Four potatoes.
    Steps:
    1. In a bowl, you pour the olive oil and the rest of the condiments.
    2. Cut the meat and marinated it with the food that you have in the bowl.
    3. You prepare the grilled meat.
    To accompany the meal you make some chips.
    4. Peel the potatoes and cut them.
    5. Fry the potatoes with a lot of olive oil, before you add salt to the potatoes.
    6. Finally, we have the raxo.

    The dish of my classmate could be interesting to do it looks good I will do it someday to see if it is delicious.

    My special dish is very simple but delicious and easy to cook for anyone, I have called this "sandwich for those who want it". It consists of a ham and cheese sandwich cooked in a sandwich maker, and finally you add melted cheese and a fried egg on top. Like I said before it is very simple to do and if you want you can try to do it anytime.

    As a first step what you have to do is heat the sandwich in the sandwich maker.
    Later, when the sandwich is ready, you add the cheese to gratin on top of the sandwich and put it in the oven.
    As a last step (optional) you can add a fried egg on top of the sandwich and it would be ready to eat it.

    One dish that I love is called tuna pie, you need:

    - Two puff pastries
    - A red pepper
    - 3 tuna cans
    - 250gr of tomato sauce
    - A boiled egg

    -First, chop the red pepper and the boiled egg and spread it on the puff pastry.

    -Then, do the same with the tuna and the tomato sauce and put the other puff pastry on the top.

    -Finally, bake it for 20-25 minutes and, that´s it! Now you have your tuna pie, enjoy it.

    It looks deliciuos Daniel. I will cook it.
    One dish I usually eat in summer and I love is gazpacho.
    Ingredients:
    - 8 tomatoes
    - 100 gr of bread
    - A glass of water
    - A clove of garlic
    - 10 ml of olive oil
    - 10 ml of vinegar
    - An onion
    - A green pepper
    - A cucumber

    1. Wash and chop the vegetables.
    2. Chop the onion and the clove of garlic.
    3. Add in a bowl the vegetables, the onion and the clove of garlic once you have chopped them.
    4. Add bread, salt, olive oil and vinegar.
    5. Batir los ingredientes Whip the ingredients.
    6. Add all the water you like.
    7. Put in the fridge.
    8. Serve cold.

    It seems like a really good option for summer! I´ll try it...
    During this quarintine I have tried cooking muffins and this is my recipe.

    Ingredients:
    3 eggs
    60 ml of milk
    190 ml of sunflower oil
    210 grs of flour
    7 grs of yeast
    orange zest
    some salt
    cinnamon powder
    175 grs of sugar

    1 We start mixing the eggs and the sugar.
    2 Then we add the sunflower oil, the milk, the cinnamon powder and the orange zest
    3 Now we start mixing the flour, the yeast and the salt appart
    4 when we have mixed the ingredients appart, we add the flour mix to the other mix and we leave it for three hours in the fridge
    5 Finally we put it in the oven 10 minutes at 220 degrees
    And that´s all, now you can enjoy your muffins!

    My dish is one I usually make with my mother. Is a lemon cake.

    Ingredients:
    - 1 lemon yogurt
    - 1 yogurt of oil (measure)
    - 2 yogurts of sugar (measure)
    - 3 yogurts of flour (measure)
    - 3 eggs
    - 1 packet of yeast

    1. Beat the eggs in a bowl, pour the sugar, yogurt, oil and mix well.
    2. Add the flour previously mixed with the yeast.
    3. Put thia mixture on a flat baking tray smeared with oil or butter.
    4. Bake it 180° for 35 min.

    And that's it. Now you can eat a wonderful lemon cake.

    Mmmmmmm!!!! Jaime´s lemon cake is delicious

    Due to the dates we are in, today I have decided to show you how to make a “torrijas” (typical dessert of “Semana Santa”). I hope you like it!!


    Ingredients:

    Slices of bread from the day before
    milk
    cinnamon stick and powder
    egg
    sugar
    oil

    Steps:

    In a saucepan, the milk mixed with the cinnamon stick is heated for 1 minute.
    The bread is cut into slices (as many as you want to make).
    Once the mixture is warm, add the slice of bread to the milk and cinnamon mixture and wait until it is soaked.
    Then we beat the egg and put the slice of bread soaked in the beaten egg.
    To finish, heat the oil in the pan and add the slice of bread until it is fried.
    In a plate we make a mixture with sugar and cinnamon powder and we batter the slice of fried bread.
    Finally you put it on a plate, with a glass of milk, a blanket, Netflix and enjoy your torrija !!!
