CONTENTS 4TH YEAR.BILINGUAL



-We will follow the book ENGLISH ALIVE 4 (Oxford). There are 9 units. We will cover 3 units each term.

-We will do extra material from different B1 level textbooks and websites. A plastic folder to keep photocopies and assignments is recommended.

-We will work on two different blogs:

-It is obligatory to read at least 1 reader each term. The reading work is 10% of your final mark. You must hand in a book review and prepare a presentation about each book. Both assignments must be finished on these dates:

Tell me about yourself. When / where were you born? Where did you grow up?
What’s your city/ town like? What do you do? Where do you work? Tell me about your daily routine.
Where did you go to elementary/ high school? What were your best/ worst subjects?
Tell me about your childhood. What’s your favorite childhood memory? What kinds of sports or
games did you use to play when you were younger?

2• Describing positive and negative features; making comparisons; talking about lifestyle changes and
wishes

Do you live in a house or an apartment? What’s it like? Is your house or apartment (adjective)
enough for you? What’s your neighborhood like?
What do you wish you could change about your home/ school or job/appearance/ skills? Why?


3• Talking about recent past events

Have you been working/studying/exercising? What have you been doing lately/ in the evening/ on
